Verizon Wireless is selling a $1,000 reward to anyone who will call the company and tell it how much they like the new phone it just announced.
Verizon Wireless CEO Lowell McAdam said the offer is a “soul-searching gift” to anyone interested in buying a new phone, according to the Verge.
The offer is part of Verizon’s $3.99 billion $45 billion acquisition of US wireless giant Sprint in August.
The deal was supposed to end this month.
Verity Wireless will pay a $100 gift card to anyone that calls Verizon Wireless and mentions how much it likes the new device they have received.
McAdam said in a statement that the gift was made to “celebrate the great diversity of the Verizon Wireless family, to reflect our continued commitment to delivering the best customer experience to our customers.”
Verizon will also pay a free one-month trial of the new smartphone, the company said.
“We’re proud to welcome our customers to our great Verizon Wireless community, and we want to thank them for their passion and commitment,” McAdam added.
