St. LOUIS — The St. Paul Saints have signed goaltender Matt Tennison to a two-entry-level deal, general manager Ken Hitchcock announced Friday.
Tennyson, 28, has appeared in five games with the Blues this season and has a 2.42 goals against average and a .921 save percentage in three games this season.
The 5-foot-11, 160-pound netminder spent two seasons with the Buffalo Sabres, appearing in eight games for the club.
He also played in four Stanley Cup Playoff games for Buffalo.
Tennison was originally selected by the Buffalo Bills with the fourth overall pick of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
He played his first two seasons for the University of Massachusetts Lowell before signing with the Sabres last season.
Tennessee has posted a 2-2-2 record with a 3.37 goals against Average and a save percentage of .907 in 16 games with Buffalo this season, and he has a 0-0-0 record in three postseason appearances.
